Asparagus, corn, squash... everybody knows about those but have you ever tried green beans on the grill or broccoli? Grilled onions are common but what about potatoes or brussel sprouts? I haven't cooked a veggie on my grill that I have not liked.
Cooking veggies on the grill is not complicated and there really isn't a wrong way to do. Olive oil, heat and something to set the veggies on so they don't fall through the grates will get the job done. Aluminum foil, a cooking pan, or a veggie grilling plate from the store will work to make sure that doesn't happen.
I know summer feels like a long ways away but it will be here before you know it. To help you through winter, here are a few meals I cooked last summer on the grill.
Ready for tomato roasting.
Spreading on the secret ingredient... olive oil!
Adding turkey bacon (don't ask...my wife's favorite)
Turkey bacon is actually pretty good on the grill.
Green beans/onions/squash... no after pictures, must have been good!
Squash and cucumbers ready for aluminum foil.
Cooking with aluminum foil on the grill.
This summer, try to expand your veggie horizons and try a few veggies on the grill that you haven't cooked before. You will be glad you did!
