Venison Chili




1 pound venison burger
1 large onion chopped
1 can dark red kidney beans
1 can black beans
1 can pinto beans
2 teaspoons chopped up jalapeño peppers
4 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon sweet basil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
3-4 8 ounce cans of tomato sauce
½ can of tomato paste
1 tablespoon olive oil
 
Sautee half of the chopped onion in olive oil along with minced garlic in pot
Add venison burger and brown
Add 3 8 oz cans of tomato sauce + chopped jalapeño peppers + all spices heat to boiling
Add extra can of sauce depending on how much sauce you prefer
Add tomato paste depending on how thick you want sauce
Add 3 cans of beans lower heat and simmer for at least one hour (the more the better) stirring occasionally
Add onions ½ hour before eating
